Radio Clash 63: Invasion of the Bootleg Zombies
Tuesday, February 7th, 2006
If bootlegs are dead, then they are the undead party zombies of the world…last Bastard gets the ‘best funeral ever’; GYBO gets a C&D and remains unrepentant and keeps going, and Tim gets on (down with) the mashup/download offensive armed with a shotgun and a cricket bat…
They’re coming to get you, bootlegs: http://www.radioclashblog.com/show-archive/rc_63.mp3

The last ever Bastard was a BLAST, totally insane and one of the classics…if it is the last, it went out with a bang (or as Holestar, someone I got to speak to at length at last, put it ‘if Bastard is dead, then this is the best funeral ever’…you could say that about bootlegs in general*, as I put it on GYBO ‘If bootlegs are dead no-one told people at Bastard!’
Lionel’s first set was 80′s/elctro-bollox tastic and a real crowdpleaser, soundHog played a mostly indie-disco style set but dropped Dire Straits vs Dooms Night and the place just erupted.Wasn’t so much into the late part of sH’s set and the 2nd Lionel set – much harder, because of the door policy got really hot and then started getting a hangover I left at 2am. I actually felt bad leaving then, cos the whole crowd were going mad-for-it still.
