And I think you did a pretty fair job in your assessment of the US and our gun-fetish. I personally don't get it myself, but those who like guns tend to get rather ... possessive of them. And the thought of losing their firearms, or even losing the right to buy bullets who's popular name is "cop killers" is akin to removing their cock with rusty grapefruit knives. This country is nothing if not contradictory, and I do love it for that, but I do worry about it. Thanks to the current group of idiots I've given up thoughts of travelling freely around the world until I develop a good Canadian accent. Someday though.
