Some of you will know I’ve just come back from a 2 week trip to Ethiopia and South Africa – certainly the cold wet weather has been a shock now I’m back in England. While I was there I visited Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Lake Tana & the island monasteries by boat, the mouth of the Blue Nile & trekked to the Blue Nile Falls (‘Smoke of the Nile’), St Lucia lake by boat to see the hippos and crocodiles; and while I was in South Africa I visited John’s mother and sister and a rather mad licky dog called Max, Durban/Umhlanga Rocks, Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve and Jo’burg.
Above and over at the Flickr set are quite a few pictures from my African odyssey. Expect video and also maybe podcasts as I collected quite a lot of African music while I was there, and shot some video of those Hungry Hippos
