As premiered in the latest podcast, this mashup isn’t my idea at all – Jeb Edwards aka DJ 50PoundNote asked me to make it as part of his set. He originally heard it on a friends tape from the 80′s but couldn’t find the original whitelabel (or it might have been mixed live?) so this is my recreation! It’s not a new combo bar The Clash bit, but the other combos I’ve heard are too fast or just don’t work. I think this works as an old-skool summer mashup – shame there isn’t any sun at the moment!
Obviously it’s Heaven 17′s Let Me Go vs Arthur Baker’s Rockers Revenge project ‘Walking on Sunshine’ with a little bit of Magnificent Seven by The Clash.
