Just heard this on Lammo’s 6Music program, didn’t know Martin Rossiter – of Gene who were one of my favourite bands OF ALL TIME (© Readers Wifes) and this song ‘Drop Anchor’ stopped me in my tracks. Apparently he has an album titled in usual style ‘The Defenestration of St Martin’ to drop on 26th November via PledgeMusic – given Gene’s past struggles with the music biz (remember the criminally forgotten ‘Libertine’? You don’t? You should…it’s probably their best LP) I hope the current climate of Kickstarter type fan pledges works better for him – seems to be, having reached 178% of his goal!
