Amazingly given the cloak and dagger release and the new URL this new Prince song ‘Screwdriver’ seems to be legit if Prince’s new website is anything to go by. It’s a return to his rock roots – working with his band 3rdEyeGirl seen in the video. It’s good news, and what with Bowie’s return and Prince back with a band and that amazing Petula Clark single 2013 seems to be the year of surprising comebacks.
Also love the ’20pr1nc3′ which I suspect is a nod to the fact people tend to write Pr1nc3 like that to hide their videos from his NPG legal eagles being pulled from the internet! So interestingly he’s leaking his own music now? LOL.
