RC 184: Quiet Storm

Friday, February 26th, 2010

A bumper show of 3 months worth of delayed music. Twas the storm’s fault, you see. A quiet storm…one you could hardly hear, but yet so loud.

A few minutes ago every tree was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease. (121Mb, 180 mins)

I’ve been featured in Time Out magazine!

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

I was in Trier and got a phone call from Scott from the Night Nurse Show during his Thursday show letting me know I was in last week’s Time Out – Natasha (also from the NN Show) spotted it!

Big thanks to Scott and Natasha for letting me know, he even typed it up:

This music podcast originates for our own dear London town and is put together by a man who wishes to be known only as Tim, to avoid, as he puts it, ‘copyright stormtrooper crashing through my windows’. Tim is a mash-up fan, so you get plenty of those, as well as interesting remakes, remixes and anything else that takes his fancy. It’s the ideal mix of old stuff you’d forgotten you liked, new stuff you want to hear more of, and weird stuff that just makes you think ‘humph-weird’. Tim is adamant that he doesn’t want his podcast – already over 100 downloads (???) old with no signs of flagging – turning into a job or making any money, which is endearing in this cynical world. If you’re looking for a summery bank holiday soundtrack, try no. 116 (called Born to Synthesise) which features everyone from London Elektricity to Ivor Cutler, Public Enemy to ELO.

Funnily enough my name is Tim, LOL. Thank you Time Out people! May I suggest excellent London-based The Night Nurse Show for a future review? ;-)

Radio Clash 116: Born to Synthesise

Synthesiser called Eliza, probly

Sun is shining, all around us, merry christmas everyone…err something’s not totally right there?

Usual tune/talk/ramble interface, with sun shine still hitting the UK like a wet haddock, Bastard #2 at the Macbeth report, and I spend the life savings of small Guatemalan children on CDs and feel fine about it.

You see I spent this whole post and I avoided the bad Sunthesise joke, I’m proud of myself: (64Mb, 88mins) http://media.libsyn.com/media/radioclash/rc_116.mp3

Radio Clash 100: Unofficial Pirated Birthday Show

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Radio clash is 2 years old!

First podcast as a two year old (rather than first podcast BY a two year old, although some would beg to differ…) and the unofficial knocked off birthday show from down the market, cheap with those nasty leaky chinese batteries and incredibly lethal for kids…yes it’s the 100th episode of Radio Clash!

The official birthday show will be up next week. I hope…

Happy birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me: (50Mb, 1:16) http://www.realityengine.co.uk/radioclash/show-archive/rc_100.mp3
