Pogo does it again, and deja vu – it’s Mary Poppins!

Close on the heels of my Julie Andrews-remixing fest as part of my Saarbruecken VJ set (52 mins in), comes Pogo who of course if you remember from the amazing Alice in Wonderland remix video, he just captures the wonder, awe, magic and the trippy nature of being young and these films perfectly. Here he remixes Mary Poppins to great effect:

Talking of Julie Andrews, I’ve redone the audio and reuploaded the Do Re Mi Bombscare video – now renamed DRM Bombscare in ‘honour’ of FOX – to Vimeo because like the Printer Jam video both have been pulled by Fox on YouTube. *sigh*. Will also
create FLVs to host on Radio Clash’s own FLV player…Supercalibreakz video is rendering out also so will follow shortly, even though it’s really a low-quality demo version, I probably won’t have time to revisit it for a long while.

And now finally the video for Supercalibreakz – Mary Poppins goes Drum and Bass! Not as good as the Pogo video, but then the track does predate it by about 2-3 years:

Saarbroken: My International Mash Bash set – 1 hour Audio and VJ set

Here’s the audio(and video if you scroll down) of my International Mash Bash set (btw several inclusions of Lady Sov’s Love Me Or Hate Me means it is a bit sweary in places). The idea of the set was to combine audio and video – a new one for me – and in part represent Bastard and a theme runs through it commemorating 20 years since the Second Summer of Love (1989) – it seems piano house sound is coming back, so I wanted to mix old and new.

Also it includes Far Out – which was one of the first songs I DJ’d back in 1994 at Milk Laboratory (hence the Milk Lab mentions in the video which I also did) approriate as I said in my previous post, this is my last DJ set…at least for some time, might do VJing, might do online DJing, but probably the last one I’ll do in the flesh. Far too stressful, and far too many people ‘not getting it’ even when I try and make a floorfilling set like this one. Time to stop ;-)

EDIT: Safari users might want to download and play the MP3 below rather than click the player, looks like Soundcloud’s Flash has a problem with Safari going crashy crashy…

And drumroll – here’s the video. Yes I’ve combined the backing video for the Saarbruecken DJing with the set audio – most of it is synched, especially at the end. It is itself a mashup of films, found video, my own work, stop frame anim and animation. It includes video from:

DRM Bombscare – new DJNoNo mashup & Germany

DRM Bombscare cover

Ooh, still recovering from Germany, was a blast and great to see some great sets.

Me? I was forced to play this as my set-ender under death threats from the inimitable DJNoNo; he can be very persuasive you know, that’s when you understand what he’s saying.

Anyway this is Sound of Music getting the rave treatment – for the hills are alive with the sound of mashups! Here is one of my favourite things, in 16 bit going on 17, to cheer up a lonely DJ catherder or two.

DRM Bombscare (2 Bad Mice vs Julie Andrews)

Video to follow as soon as it rendered – yes I did an hour’s worth of video for my set, which as soon as I re-record my set (not actually getting round to recording it on the night) I’ll post also!

Here’s the video (edit Fox pulled the original off YouTube, so here it is on the far-better Vimeo and also on my site via the open source Flow FLV Player below)
