Facebook group

Monday, August 13th, 2007

I’ve not only given in and joined Facebook (John of all people was bugging me to join, and others, unlike LJ it seems to have taken off here) Radio Clash now has a Facebook group!

Cue bad innuendos about poking…

But what’s in it for you? Well apart from showing your favourite podcaster some lurve if you sign up either on Facebook or are a friend on my Myspace you’ll get to hear a special unreleased ‘Best of’ show done for Madge Weinstein’s Sirius show last year…

Radio Clash 81: Cheers, Tears and Souvenirs – Tim and Kirk in Amsterdam

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Tulips in a CAN!

Yes it’s finally here – Tim & Kirk terrify Amsterdam with their antics on their 10 year anniversary (of what? Well listen to the podcast to find out!), with ‘hilarious consequences’ (*quotes added by our lawyer)

Err…Why am I writing in second person? Anyway it’s littered with music relating either to ver Dam itself or in or around the golden year of 1996 that have, well, a personal meaning…see if you can spot it!
We also meet up with Madge Weinstein and Bicyclemark for the World’s First SmallBloatCast (err probably) on Mark’s boat the Red August (it’s a prequel thing…) where we discuss how FEBO could make serious money with prostitutes, coke money and C5s, faggotry of the penis, segways, slaves and insults and why vblogging sucks.

Also we unwisely play with the windmills of our minds (see what I did there?) with rather too many mushrooms and space cakes…

Apologies for the audio in places – outboard motors don’t like iRivers and vice versa I guess! Taken me ages to clean this hence the delay…

Pictures are on my Flickr, suckr.

You cannot be Sirius!

Monday, July 10th, 2006

Me and Kirk spoke to the infamous Madge Weinstein in Amsterdam at the weekend (and yes, podcast convo with all of us and Bicyclemark to follow!) and it looks like the fill-in holiday shows I did for Madge (err, well I did, those of you who didn’t know) one of them has gone out on Sirius Stars 102.

It was a special ‘Best of’ Show i did, the other is a cutdown special edition of the Ghey Euro Metal Show.

So anyone listening to Madge’s show on Sirius Stars 102 to confirm when I got played? If you can give more info that would be greatly appreciated – Madge is busy doing the European tour and doesn’t need my stalking, err pesterance.

Oh and pics, podcast and stuff to follow. Richard/Madge is a very cool person, great to see Mark again, and it could be the world’s first ever DinghyCast, at least the first one with added Bloat.

Tracklisting for the Best of Show – I might post it towards the Summer’s end, but if you listened to shows 64-75 you’d have heard these anyway:

Show X – Best of Show for Sirius; with extended pluggage!

  • Casbah Wonder – dunproofin (Show 75 – Clash special)
  • Crazy Times – team9 (Show 69 – Revolutionary 69 Dudes)
  • Steve Christ – Smacked up Dragula (Show 70 – UBER Special)
  • Judas Priest – Breaking the Law (Show 74 – Ghey EURO Metal Show)
  • Gangsta Fag – Run from the Faggots (Show 68 – Repeat until Gay Bumper edition)
  • JoolsMF – 1Ting! (Show 68 – Repeat until Gay Bumper edition)
  • rx dick is a killer (Show 64 – When I’m 64 I want an Anal Staircase)
  • Kleptones – Careless or the Dead (LP vers) (Show 72 – Kleptones interview)
  • Kinsey Sicks – I’ve Been Through Parasite (I’ve Never Had VD) (Show 73 – 7th Tim and Kirk show)
  • Ivor Cutler – Go on Jump! (Show 67 – Ivor Cutler)
  • Kleptones – Imagine it’s not the end of the world (Show 72 – Kleptones interview)
  • Earlybird – Dolly Parton vs Elvis (Show 69 – Revolutionary 69 Dudes)
  • Cry on your Console – I snapped the Casbah!!!

Mom, I’m a queercaster!

Sunday, July 10th, 2005

With all the hullaballoo forgot to say – I’m featured in the new enhanced Queercast from Ms Madge Weinstein over at Yeast Radio as part of the new Queercast group over at qpodder.org.

Madge seemed to be surprised, but yeah, we’re queer and we’re over here at Radio Clash (well more like ‘we’re bear and over there’ but anyways). I hope to cover more from the bear and queer scene over here, but I think I will always be a strange little hybrid mashup cub, (which is why I’m surprised yet glad to be part of the Queercasters, hey it’s a Family thing) so the music and silliness will stay – just might drop in the odd thing.

Thing is, a bit like punk, queerness is an attitude that informs everything I do, rather than something I personally have to express (others like Fausto Fearnos, Yeast Radio and LuckyBitch do those far better than moi anyway!) but it doesn’t mean I’m not a big ol’ queen sometimes and if I’m a fairy fluttering near a microphone you’ll hear it! :-D (lucky you)

Downing Street Memo – why the silence?

Thursday, June 23rd, 2005

I think for us in the UK the whole WMC/Iraq thing blew up several years ago with the David Kelly affair, a stain on Blair’s government still which I doubt will wash away anytime soon in the minds of people, but we’re used to the fact we were lied to – not happy with it, but we’ve had the inquiry and headlines, the threats to the BBC and media and jeering on all sides. Certainly I think it was the closest to an impeachment anytime soon.

What astounds me about the whole Downing Street memo is that the news has been seemingly so quiet outside the UK – in fact inside the UK it was mooted and swallowed up with the election and what effect it had.

But why aren’t people outside the UK, finally confronted with what’s been not denied and apparently confirmed as the truth, jumping up and down? The silence is deafening…

Maybe Madge Weinstein is right, maybe we are all in a depression, faced with government we expect to lie to us; expecting to be treated that way. It makes me so angry – but where to place that anger so it’s productive?

Hmm if there is someone like Gandhi or Martin Luther King out there, now would be a very good time ? Or maybe we should look to ourselves for the vision and some direction?

But where?
