New podcast – Digital Debris!

Digital Debris

Ages in the making but there’s a new podcast from me called digital debris and the site is in production for it. Think of it as the BBC2 version to Radio Clash’s BBC1…more artier, more experimental (in format and content), focusing on lapsed copyright music, orphan and charity shop audio, internet memes, performance, spoken word, outsider art and podsafe music. If you liked the Aural pOddities shows you’ll love these.

Here is the pilot episode #0 – if you like to hear more, then you can subscribe here, as only this one and maybe the next will be available on this feed .

Suggestions? Improvements?

Let me know here or at the dd blog.

Radio Clash 62: Aural pOddities 2 Strange for Radio

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

Strange transient noise bursts here (86mins, 51Mb): http://www.radioclashblog.com/show-archive/rc_62.mp3

Revenge and return of the Aural pOddities show (31 shows since show 31!) where I talk about outsider music, from song poems to gay patriots, homosexual ghosts and really bad pop music!

Longest RC show yet; but it didn’t seem right to split it – stick with it, there’s a great chilled middle section long-mix…

Notes:

Strange woolwear fixation

Strange songpoems

Strangely Patriotic

Strangely soothing mix

Strangely shoobydoobydoo

Strange scale usage

Strangely sexual spirits

I think something must be broken…

Tuesday, December 6th, 2005

…to paraphrase the wonderful Ken And Squip Show; but according to my web stats I’ve apparently I’ve shifted 37.59 Gb for this month alone…after 6 days? Eh?

According to my logs it’s more like 10Gb for the last 7 days – but that doesn’t include the latest podcast shows >32 so that’s pretty much shows 1-32 archive bandwidth – so you like the new archive of old shows huh?

Most popular atm seems to be show 1, show 18 – the first DJNoNo show and show 31 – aural pOddities. Of the shows above #32 hosted elsewhere the blog activity seems most on latest show, but also shows 36 (Banana Heatwave / Beatles) and 45 Detroit seem to be getting some love…

For the record, my homebrew slightly-retarded clicky-stats tell me that the most popular show EVER in the history of clickydom (well since show 12) has been…show 24 ‘Tired, Screaming and Promotional’? . Odd…you crazy Warp freaks!

Good thing my host has apparently moved to unlimited bandwidth…
